  • Prem. 140 Input Tubes, Pt 3

    The third installment of input tubes for the Premier 140 covers the following two types:

    1.  Mullard CV2493 dimple disc getter.  1970 vintage.

    2.  Sylvania JAN 7308.  1967 vintage.

  • See that "face" logo on the Mullard CV2493? That was the inspiration, when Transformers designed the Decepticons.

    OMG! You're right! And if they didn't use it, it certainly looks like they did. Given a choice, I'll take the Mullard CV2493, however. It is most definitely a special tube.

  • Hey don't laugh. Both these Mullard tubes and vintage 1980s Transformers are hard to find and pricey to boot!
