Prem. 140 Input Tubes, Pt 2
The second installment of input tubes for the Premier 140 covers the following two types:
1. GE grey glass 6DJ8. Unknown vintage but presumed 1960s.
2. Lorenz PCC88 gray shield with a getter ring fused with splatter shield construction. 1960s vintage with no label for OEM distribution.

There is such a lack of information about the GE gray glass 6DJ8. Some people have even said that GE never made a 6DJ8.

Although you don't see them all that often, General Electric did indeed make a 6DJ8. I managed to acquire a full set of these tubes (seven of the puppies) from an online vendor here in NJ and will be reporting on them in-full at some point in the future. Just as a preview, they remind me a good deal of the Amperex 6DJ8 but with a fatter midrange. Kinda like me.
